Four easy ways to turn a backyard cornhole match into the life of the party.
When was the last time you played cornhole without a cold drink in hand? Because the game is so simple, adding a few drinking rules is easy. Here are four favorite variations — please play responsibly.
Play by standard cornhole rules with one twist: for every cornhole (bag in the hole) your team scores, the other team takes a sip before play continues. It builds a mild, gradual buzz depending on how sharp the competition is.
Follow normal rules, but after every half inning, you and your teammate take one drink for every point scored against you. With holes worth three and board bags worth one, at least one team will rack up plenty of drinks by 21. Best for evenly matched opponents.
Build on Competitive Drinking by adding a “shot bag” round after the board is cleared. If that bag goes in the hole, the next player on the opposing team takes a shot before play continues.
The wildest variation uses custom drinking bags labeled drink, chug, shot, and social. Whatever lands in the hole is the instruction you follow — a fast track to a good time.
