We don’t recommend it. Cornhole boards are made of wood, and even with an exterior gloss finish, prolonged sun, rain, and humidity can cause warping, fading, and peeling. Store them in a cool, dry place with the backs together and a cover over them.

Do I need to freeze my cornhole bags?

Only if they are filled with corn. Freezing corn-filled bags kills off insects and slows spoilage. Custom Corntoss bags are filled with weatherproof plastic resin, so freezing is unnecessary – just keep them clean and dry.

How do I clean dirty cornhole bags?

Spot-clean resin-filled bags with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them air dry completely before storing. Never machine wash or soak corn-filled bags, since moisture will ruin the filling.

How to Care for Your Cornhole Equipment

Never store boards face to face – Storing your boards with the surfaces facing inward is a great way to scrape the paint off. Store your boards with the backs together. Cover them with a tarp or cloth cover to prevent them from getting dirty and worn.
Keep them cool and dry – Your cornhole boards are made of wood, so store them in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Your boards are painted with exterior gloss paint, but moisture damage can still become an issue if you don’t store your boards correctly.
Be gentle – When setting up your boards and putting them away, never slam them down or throw them. They are built sturdily, but playing rough with them can still cause damage.

Keep them cool and dry – Moisture can completely ruin your cornhole bags. They can develop mold and the inside materials can be ruined as well.
Keep them inside – Traditional cornhole bags are filled with corn, and if you leave those outside they can attract animals like squirrels that will rip your bags open to get at the yummy corn inside. Our bags are filled with weatherproof plastic resin, so critters aren’t a concern – but bringing them inside still keeps the fabric clean, dry, and out of the sun.
Freeze them – Freezing corn-filled cornhole bags for 24 hours on a regular basis can help them last longer by killing off anything living in the filling. Resin-filled bags don’t need this step, but if you have room in your freezer, it won’t hurt them either.

Cornhole Accessories

Store accessories in a dry place – Your cornhole accessories can grow mold, or materials can be ruined by moisture.
Turn them off – Be sure that your cornhole lights are turned off to prevent the battery from draining.
